Job description

Looking to make a real difference in a young person's school journey?

Every student deserves the support and encouragement they need to succeed. Sometimes, all it takes is a positive role model, an extra helping hand and someone who believes in their potential.

We're working with welcoming and inclusive Secondary Schools across Harrow who are looking for enthusiastic and committed Teaching Assistants to join their teams. This is a fantastic opportunity to support students across a variety of subjects, helping them stay engaged, build confidence and achieve their best both inside and outside the classroom.

You'll work closely with teachers and pastoral staff to create a positive learning environment where every student feels supported, challenged and encouraged to succeed.

What you'll be doing:

• Supporting students in lessons across the secondary curriculum
• Providing one-to-one and small group support to reinforce learning and boost confidence
• Assisting teachers with classroom preparation, resources and activities
• Encouraging positive behaviour, engagement and participation in lessons
• Helping students stay focused and make progress towards their learning goals
• Building positive relationships with students, staff and parents to support student development

What we're looking for:

• Experience working with young people, either in education or a similar setting, is desirable but not essential
• A positive, proactive and flexible approach to supporting learning
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• The ability to build positive relationships and act as a role model for students
• A genuine passion for supporting young people and helping them achieve their potential
• Confidence working as part of a team in a fast-paced school environment

Why work with Protocol Education?

We keep things simple. Honest conversations, clear communication and opportunities that genuinely fit what you're looking for.

You'll get:

• Weekly pay through PAYE, no umbrella companies
• FREE access to our online CPD Academy
• Personalised support from a dedicated consultant
• Opportunities in mainstream, SEND and alternative settings
• Streamlined registration and local placements
• A referral scheme that genuinely rewards you

Have you completed Thrive training? If not, ask us about our FREE Thrive training. It's a brilliant way to develop your understanding of behaviour and emotional wellbeing, while making your CV stand out to schools.

If you're ready to make a positive impact in the classroom and support the next generation of learners, we'd love to hear from you.

Send your CV to thomas.harrington@protocol-education.com and let's chat about your next opportunity.
