Supporting a portfolio of aircraft modification programmes delivered through the EASA certification process, the successful candidate will play a key role in project governance, portfolio reporting and continuous improvement, helping to drive the evolution of the PMO into a strategic portfolio management centre of excellence.

Working closely with the PMO Manager, Project Managers and senior stakeholders, you will provide project planning, governance, reporting and administrative support to ensure successful programme delivery across a dynamic aerospace environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the development, implementation and continuous improvement of PMO processes, standards, templates and governance frameworks.
  • Maintain portfolio documentation, dashboards and reporting tools to provide accurate project and portfolio visibility.
  • Gather, analyse and present project and portfolio data to support informed decision-making and programme performance.
  • Assist Project Managers with the development and maintenance of project plans, schedules and delivery milestones.
  • Monitor project progress, risks, issues, dependencies and action logs, ensuring timely follow-up and resolution.
  • Prepare weekly and monthly project and portfolio reports, executive presentations and management information packs.
  • Coordinate governance meetings by preparing agendas, recording minutes and tracking actions through to completion.
  • Consolidate project information for portfolio reviews and senior management reporting.
  • Organise meetings, workshops and stakeholder engagement sessions, ensuring effective communication across multidisciplinary teams.
  • Maintain project documentation, version control and document repositories in line with organisational standards.
  • Produce briefing papers, business documentation and presentation material to support programme delivery.
  • Contribute to PMO transformation initiatives, driving continuous improvement and enhancing portfolio management capability.

Skills & Experience:

  • Minimum of three years' experience supporting a Project Management Office (PMO) or a similar project support function.
  • Strong understanding of project governance, portfolio management and project lifecycle processes.
  • Experience supporting multiple concurrent projects within a fast-paced, programme-driven environment.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data analysis, tracking, reporting and performance monitoring.
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft PowerPoint, with experience producing executive-level presentations and reporting packs.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, producing high-quality project documentation, reports and governance material.
  • Excellent analytical, organisational and problem-solving skills, with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Proven ability to prioritise workloads, manage competing deadlines and deliver accurate work under pressure.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the confidence to engage effectively with stakeholders at all organisational levels.
  • Ability to work independently whilst contributing effectively within cross-functional project teams.

Desirable Experience:

  • Knowledge of recognised project management methodologies, including PRINCE2, Agile or PMI.
  • Experience using Smartsheet or similar project planning and portfolio management tools.
  • Ability to develop dashboards, KPIs and management reporting to support programme performance.
  • Understanding of portfolio management principles, governance frameworks and PMO best practice.
  • Previous experience within aerospace, engineering, defence or other highly regulated industries would be advantageous.

Personal Attributes:

  • Highly organised, proactive and self-motivated with a professional approach to work.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality outputs.
  • Excellent interpersonal and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build effective working relationships across all levels of the organisation.
  • Adaptable and resilient, with the ability to manage changing priorities within a complex project environment.
  • Committed to continuous learning, process improvement and delivering operational excellence.
