Job description


Specialist Speech and Language Therapist
Location:Leyland/Darwen
Salary: £33,612.80 to £49,067.20 per annum, pro rata (depending on qualifications and experience)
Hours:40hrs per week - Term time only Either 4 days a week (2 days at Leyland site and 2 at Darwen site) OR (2 days a week at Leyland only)

We are looking for an enthusiasticSpeech and Language Therapistto work as part of a therapy team in Leyland/Darwen. The School provide flexible day placements for students aged 9 to 19 years with communication and associated difficulties or specific learning difficulties such as dyslexia. Some may be on the autistic spectrum or have anxieties and difficulties that create barriers to learning.

Working collaboratively with the sites, you will deliver bespoke assessment and intervention plans for our children and young people with developmental trauma, Autism, ADHD, and SEMH needs.

You will be responsible for holding a small speech and language therapy caseload for the two special schools, you will also contribute to staff training, consultation and reflective practice. Both a challenging and rewarding role, this position would suit a resilient and enthusiastic individual, with a therapeutic approach and the ability to make decisions, as well as manage their own workload.
