Job description
Right across infrastructure, there’s a requirement to not only maintain, but also renew and reimagine. Whatever stage you’re at in your career, with us you’ll have an opportunity to grow and develop. Delivering essential infrastructure services for life, while being safety first, and client and customer centric in a friendly, fun and respectful environment where you are encouraged to thrive.

Where will you be working?

At M Group Energy, we’re enabling the energy essential to support our lives.

We provide an end-to-end service, delivering solutions in electricity transmission, distribution, renewable energy, EV, metering and home decarbonisation.

Based at our

Bury St Edmunds (Higham) office in Suffolk , you’ll be joining

Aran , part of M Group Energy - an industry-leading provider of retrofit and energy efficiency solutions.

With a strong reputation for quality and delivery, Aran is focused on raising standards across installation projects while improving the comfort, cost of living and sustainability of UK homes.

What will you be doing?

As a

Field Technical Coordinator , you’ll play a key role in ensuring health and safety standards are consistently delivered across our retrofit installation sites.

This is a

field-based role

, where you’ll work closely with operational teams, supervisors and subcontractors-supporting safe working practices and promoting a strong safety-first culture across all projects.

As a Field Health & Safety Coordinator, you’ll play a vital role in ensuring health and safety standards are consistently delivered across our retrofit installation projects.

Working mainly on-site, you’ll partner closely with operational teams, supervisors and subcontractors to embed a strong, proactive safety culture and ensure safe working practices are followed at all times.

This is a hands-on, people-focused role where you’ll balance compliance, coaching and continuous improvement to help teams deliver safely and effectively.

Your responsibilities will include:

Carrying out site inspections, safety observations and compliance checks across projects

Monitoring working practices to ensure alignment with RAMS, company procedures and legal requirements

Identifying risks, unsafe behaviours or conditions and supporting corrective actions

Delivering toolbox talks, training sessions and safety briefings to site teams and subcontractors

Reviewing site documentation (risk assessments, method statements, COSHH, PPE compliance)

Maintaining clear records of inspections, observations and actions taken

Supporting investigations into incidents, near misses and root cause analysis

Identifying trends, risks and opportunities to improve safety performance

Working alongside Contracts Managers, Supervisors and leadership teams to drive continuous improvement

You’ll be instrumental in creating a culture where everyone takes responsibility for safety—helping ensure we deliver work that’s right first time, every time.

What you’ll bring We’re looking for someone who’s confident in the field, passionate about safety, and able to positively influence teams on-site.

You’ll bring:

Experience working in construction, retrofit or field-based operational environments

A strong understanding of construction health and safety practices

Experience carrying out site inspections and safety observations

The ability to engage and build relationships with site teams, installers and subcontractors

Strong communication skills and a practical, solutions-focused approach

A proactive mindset, with the confidence to challenge and improve ways of working

Essential qualifications:

NEBOSH General Certificate (or equivalent)

CSCS card (or equivalent)

Full UK driving licence

Desirable qualifications but not deal breakers:

IOSH Managing Safely or Working Safely

SSSTS qualification

Experience delivering toolbox talks

Knowledge of retrofit installation activities such as insulation, ventilation or renewable technologies

What’s in it for you?

We offer a range of benefits designed to support your life in and out of work, some of which include;

Employee assistance programme

My Rewards portal, access to 1000’s of retail discounts

Enhanced maternity, paternity leave and adoption leave

In addition, this role offers;

Company events, including an annual Christmas party

Christmas shutdown period

Casual dress

Free parking and on-site parking

Referral programme

Bereavement leave

And yes… Free Sandwich Friday
