A £1,000 joining bonus is available for this role. The bonus will be paid in two instalments: £500 upon joining Places for People and a further £500 upon successful completion of your probation period, subject to the terms of the scheme.

What you'll be doing

• 
  
• Carrying out roofingrepairs across domestic properties including pitched and flat roofs

Completingwork such as tile repairs, mortar work and general roof maintenance

Working to drawn specifications, reports and repair requirements

Completing general buildingrepairs linked to roofing work

Working to specifications and ensuring compliance with health and safety requirements

Collaborating with supervisors, schedulers, and wider teams to meet deadlines

Recordingwork activity and completing required documentation

Supporting apprentices and contributing to team performance and KPIs

Whatyour day looks like

• A structured schedule coveringrepairs and maintenance work

Travelling between jobs inyour company van

Working independently or with a team of other tradespeople

Engaging directlywith Customers in their homes

Completingwork efficiently while maintaining quality and compliance standards

EssentialCriteria (you need to meet all of these to be shortlisted)

• 
  
• NVQ Level 2 or City and Guilds in Roofing orequivalent experience

Experience carrying out roofingrepairs within domestic or social housing properties

Ability towork to strict deadlines and maintain high quality standards

Full UK driving licence

Due to the area this patch covers, you will need to be basedwithin the BS postcode

Nice to have (not essential)
