Relief Farm Manager - North Yorkshire - £32,000 - £45,000 + Performance Bonus + 4 Bed Accommodation + Company Vehicle
The Job:
- Providing management cover across multiple broiler farms.
- Taking responsibility for the day-to-day running of sites when required.
- Monitoring bird health, welfare and performance.
- Managing environmental controls including ventilation, heating, feeding and watering systems.
- Maintaining high standards of biosecurity and hygiene.
- Recording flock performance, mortality, feed usage and production data.
- Coordinating chick placements, thinning, catching and depopulation.
- Supporting and leading farm staff where necessary.
- Carrying out routine inspections and reporting maintenance requirements.
- Ensuring compliance with company procedures, Red Tractor standards and Health & Safety regulations.
The Company:
An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Relief Farm Manager to join a successful and growing commercial poultry business. Working across multiple broiler sites, you'll provide management cover for holidays, sickness and peak operational periods, ensuring the highest standards of bird welfare, performance and farm management are maintained. This is a varied, hands-on role that would suit someone who enjoys working across different sites, solving problems and supporting farm teams.
The Candidate:
- Previous experience in commercial broiler production.
- Experience as a Farm Manager, Assistant Farm Manager or Senior Stockperson.
- Excellent stockmanship and a strong focus on bird welfare.
- Good understanding of environmental management and poultry house systems.
- Strong communication and organisational skills.
- A flexible approach and willingness to travel between farms.
- A full UK driving licence.

- £32,000 - £45,000 DOE
