We are working with a welcoming SEN school in Upminster that is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Behaviour Support Assistant to join their team from September.
The school provides a supportive and structured environment where pupils are encouraged to develop confidence, independence, and positive behaviour strategies. Staff work closely with students to understand their individual needs, providing tailored support to help them regulate emotions, build social skills, and engage positively with learning.
You will be part of a committed team, working alongside teachers, pastoral staff, and specialist professionals to create a safe and nurturing environment where every pupil can thrive.
The ideal candidate will:
- Have experience supporting children or young people with SEND, behavioural needs, or additional learning needs
- Be calm, patient, and able to build strong relationships with pupils
- Have a positive and proactive approach to behaviour support
- Be passionate about helping young people develop confidence and independence
- Be able to work collaboratively with staff, families, and external professionals

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
