Salary: Up to £35,000 per annum (depending on Assessor/CAVA qualification)
Location: South West Region (including London, Bristol, Taunton and Swindon) with remote working
We are seeking a passionate and experienced Oral Health Practitioner or Dental Hygienist to join our growing Oral Health Practitioner training team as a Tutor Assessor.
In this rewarding role, you will support, assess and develop learners working towards their Level 4 Oral Health Practitioner qualification, helping them build the knowledge, skills and confidence needed to succeed in their careers.
Using your clinical expertise and industry knowledge, you will deliver engaging learning experiences, facilitate practical skills workshops and provide ongoing guidance to ensure learners achieve their full potential.

Key Responsibilities:
- Assess learner work against awarding body requirements, providing constructive feedback and developmental support.
- Conduct learner reviews, observations and assessments through a blend of remote delivery and face-to-face practical skills sessions within our regional training hubs.
- Support learners in building and maintaining high-quality portfolios of evidence.
- Deliver engaging training sessions, workshops and practical skills laboratories.
- Monitor learner progress and identify opportunities for additional support where required.
- Maintain accurate and compliant assessment records.
- Build effective relationships with employers, stakeholders and learners to ensure a positive learning experience.
- Contribute to continuous improvement by keeping up to date with best practice in oral health education, assessment and training.
What We're Looking For:
Essential Requirements
- Qualified Oral Health Practitioner or Dental Hygienist.
- Recent and relevant clinical experience within an oral health setting.
- Willingness to work towards an Assessor qualification (CAVA) if not already held.
- Strong understanding of clinical practice and professional standards within oral health.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to motivate, coach and support learners from a range of backgrounds.
- Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail.
- Commitment to continuous professional development and lifelong learning.
Desirable
- Assessing qualification (CAVA/A1 or equivalent).
- Previous experience delivering training, coaching or mentoring.
- Experience supporting learners or apprentices within a workplace setting.
