School Support Assistant | Primary School | £14.25 per Hour | Term Time Only
Location: Swansea
Pay: £14.25 per hour
Hours: Full-time | Monday to Friday | Term Time Only

We are recruiting for a Primary School Support Assistant to join a welcoming primary school in Swansea. With a child-centred approach at the heart of everything they do, the school provides a safe, stimulating, and engaging environment. Staff work collaboratively to create meaningful learning experiences that build confidence, independence, communication, and resilience.

Your Day May Include:
  • Delivering targeted one-to-one support for specific pupils.
  • Assisting the classroom teacher within the classroom.
  • Supporting learners within mainstream classrooms during integration periods.
  • Delivering personalised learning activities tailored to individual needs.
  • Supporting communication, emotional regulation, and social development.
  • Encouraging independence and essential life skills.
  • Supporting pupils during breaktimes, lunchtimes, and educational visits.

Essential Requirements
  • Experience supporting children in a personal or professional environment.
  • Minimum of 5 GCSEs, including English and Mathematics.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Desirable Qualifications & Experience
  • Level 2 or Level 3 Supporting Teaching and Learning qualification (or equivalent).
  • Degree qualification.
  • Additional ALN training.
  • Manual Handling certification.
  • PECS training.
  • Team Teach certification.
