Quantum Scholars is working in partnership with Hillingdon Council to recruit experienced and compassionate SEND Learning Support Tutors to provide personalised 1:1 support to children and young people across Uxbridge and the surrounding areas.

As an approved Alternative Provision provider, we support learners who are currently unable to access mainstream education due to a range of additional needs. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a genuine difference by providing tailored, face-to-face learning and support that helps young people rebuild confidence, re-engage with education and work towards positive outcomes.

Sessions are typically delivered in the learner's home or an appropriate community setting during school hours, offering a more flexible and individualised approach to education.

About the Learners

You will work with children and young people with a range of Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), which may include:

* Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC) * ADHD * Anxiety and other emotional or mental health needs * Emotionally Based School Avoidance (EBSA) * Medical needs * Social, emotional and behavioural needs * Other additional learning needs

We are looking for professionals who can build positive, trusting relationships with learners and adapt their approach to suit individual needs. You will play an important role in creating a calm, encouraging and supportive environment where learners feel comfortable, valued and able to engage.

The Role

As a SEND Learning Support Tutor, you will:

* Deliver engaging and personalised 1:1 learning sessions in learners' homes or suitable community settings * Support learners across a range of subjects, including English, Maths, Science, Food Technology and more * Plan and adapt learning activities according to each learner's ability, needs, interests and educational goals * Use creative and flexible approaches to encourage engagement and participation * Build confidence, independence and positive attitudes towards learning * Provide appropriate academic, emotional and pastoral support * Establish positive and trusting relationships with learners and their families * Work flexibly during school hours, Monday to Friday

We are particularly keen to hear from professionals based in Uxbridge, Hayes, West Drayton, Ickenham, Ruislip, Northwood, Hillingdon, Yiewsley, Cowley and the surrounding areas, where learner referrals are continuing to increase.

What We're Looking For

To be successful in this role, you should have:

* Experience supporting children or young people with SEND * Previous experience working as a SEND Tutor, Teacher, Teaching Assistant, Learning Support Assistant, SEN Teaching Assistant, Behaviour Mentor, Support Worker, Youth Worker or in a similar role * Strong communication and relationship-building skills * The ability to adapt your approach to meet individual learning and support needs * A patient, empathetic and flexible approach * The confidence to work independently and provide 1:1 support * An Enhanced DBS certificate, or willingness to obtain one * The right to work in the UK

Apply Today

If you are an experienced SEND Learning Support Tutor or education professional looking for flexible, rewarding 1:1 opportunities outside of a traditional school environment, we would love to hear from you.

Salary will be determined by the successful candidate's qualifications and relevant experience, and will be in accordance with the client's pay policy.
