Job description

Delivering essential infrastructure services for life, while being safety first, and client and customer centric in a friendly, fun and respectful environment where you are encouraged to thrive.

Where will you be working?

At M Group Telecom, we’re enabling and enhancing telecom networks, playing a lead role in the delivery of our tech enabled future.

We deliver full network cycle services for fixed, private and mobile operators.

This role will be within our

Fixed networks team,

North East England, North & East Midlands and East Anglia . This role sits at the heart of service delivery, ensuring homes and businesses receive a reliable, high-quality network experience.

The focus is on installation, activation, maintenance, and fault resolution, rather than build. Responsibility will sit with making sure services are delivered safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards.

The Role

Oversight will be provided across all field activity linked to installations and service performance. This includes service activation, fault repair, and ongoing network maintenance.

Teams of engineers and delivery partners will be guided to ensure work is completed safely, on time, and in line with required standards. Network assets will be maintained to meet both internal expectations and regulatory requirements.

Budgets and resources will be managed carefully, with a strong focus on cost control and operational efficiency. Opportunities for improvement will be identified, helping to reduce delays and improve the customer experience.

Planning tools and data will be used to ensure the right engineers are in the right place at the right time, allowing customer issues to be resolved quickly and effectively.

What you’ll bring;

Experience will include:

Knowledge will be well developed across Fibre-to-the-X networks, including GPON and XGS-PON architectures. Experience will cover both deployment and ongoing maintenance of these networks.

A clear understanding of large-scale field operations will be required, including planning, logistics, and safety. Experience managing both in-house engineers and contractor networks will be important.

Leadership style should be supportive and structured, with an ability to guide and develop high-performing teams across multiple locations.

Financial awareness will be strong, with experience managing budgets and controlling costs without impacting service quality.

Communication skills will be clear and confident, with the ability to explain technical detail in a simple and practical way to a wide range of stakeholders
