Job description

Position: Additional Learning Support Coach

Location: Remote

Salary: Up to £33,000

Working Hours: Monday - Friday 08:30 - 17:00 (37.5 per week)


We're looking for a passionate and experienced Additional Learning Support (ALS) Coach to join us. If you have experience supporting learners with additional learning needs or disabilities and are committed to delivering exceptional coaching and guidance, we'd love to hear from you.

As an Additional Learning Support Coach, you will manage a caseload of learners, delivering tailored academic and pastoral support through one-to-one coaching, virtual sessions and digital learning interventions. You'll create individual support plans, monitor progress and work collaboratively with learners, employers, mentors and colleagues to help every learner achieve their goals.


Key responsibilities

Deliver engaging one-to-one and virtual coaching sessions tailored to individual learner needs.

Create, implement and review personalised learning support plans based on assessments.

Provide ongoing Information, Advice and Guidance (IAG).

Support learners with a range of additional learning needs, including neurodiverse learners.

Work with employers, mentors and colleagues to promote learner progress.

Maintain accurate learner records on the LMS.

Complete Learning Support Funding documentation in line with DfE guidance.

Promote safeguarding, wellbeing, equality, diversity and inclusion.

What we need from you.

Experience supporting adults with learning difficulties, disabilities or additional learning needs.

Experience delivering engaging teaching, coaching or training.

Ability to develop individual learning plans and SMART targets.

Experience using digital learning platforms and virtual delivery methods.

Strong understanding of safeguarding and learner welfare.

Excellent communication, coaching and organisational skills.


Desirable

Knowledge of SEND and the SEN Code of Practice.

Understanding of DfE Learning Support Funding.

Experience working with external agencies, parents or carers.

Experience supporting Ofsted inspections.
