Job descriptionEnably is hiring on behalf of a well-established technology business in Coleraine looking to add a Mid-Level Software Developer to its team. This is a strong opportunity for someone who has already built a solid foundation in software development and is ready for a role with more ownership, more visibility, and more room to grow. You won’t be joining a huge engineering function where you disappear into one narrow part of the roadmap. You’ll be part of a smaller team where your contribution is visible, your development matters, and good work gets noticed. The business is continuing to invest in its technology and digital products, with a mix of new web application development, system improvements, and ongoing platform evolution. It is a good fit for someone who enjoys variety, wants to keep learning, and likes being close to the work. Why this role matters This role will play a hands-on part in building and improving web-based applications that support a large-scale digital customer experience. There is a good balance here between developing new functionality and improving what already exists. You’ll be involved in solving real problems, contributing to live systems, and helping the team deliver dependable software in a practical, fast-moving environment. For someone looking to build on the experience they already have, this is the kind of role that can accelerate growth quickly. Small enough to give you visibility, established enough to give you stability, and broad enough to help you build well-rounded experience. What you’ll be doing Developing and improving modern web-based applications Supporting enhancements across existing systems and platforms Investigating issues, identifying root causes, and helping put effective fixes in place Contributing across the software development lifecycle Working with colleagues across the team to support product and platform improvement Helping deliver software that is reliable, scalable, and user-focused What we’re looking for We’d love to hear from developers who already have a solid grounding and want a role where they can keep growing while making a meaningful contribution from day one. You will likely be a strong fit if you have: A 2:1 degree or above in Computer Science or a related discipline At least 2 years’ experience in a software development role Experience with one or more of the following: ASP.NET , VB.NET , C, C#, or Java Good understanding of databases and SQL Familiarity with the software development lifecycle Strong organisation and time management skills Nice to have Exposure to app development Knowledge of Web API, WCF, or React Experience or awareness of cloud technologies, ideally Microsoft Azure What matters most This client is looking for someone who brings: A practical, steady approach to problem-solving Good technical foundations and a willingness to keep learning Ownership and follow-through The ability to work well in a close-knit team A collaborative attitude and a strong work ethic The motivation to grow their career in an environment where they can have real visibility and impact Why this is a strong opportunity There is a lot to like here for the right person. You’ll be joining an established business with the stability and structure that gives a role substance, but in a team small enough for your work to matter. That means more exposure, more opportunity to learn, and more chance to take ownership than you would typically get in a larger environment. If you’re at the stage in your career where you want to build confidence, broaden your experience, and be part of a team where you can genuinely make a mark, this is a strong next step. Working arrangement Hybrid working , with 3 days in the office and 2 days from home Flexible working hours , with core hours for collaboration 10:00 - 16:00 Mon-Thurs Based in Coleraine, Northern Ireland What’s on offer Salary to be discussed 36 days annual leave, including bank holidays Ongoing L&D support Private healthcare and life assurance Free on-site parking Employee discount scheme Important information Applicants must already have the right to work in the UK.
