Autism Support Assistant – Newcastle Upon Tyne (Full-Time)

Protocol Education is recruiting a full-time Autism Support Assistant to join a specialist SEND provision in Newcastle Upon Tyne. You'll work closely with pupils with Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC), supporting learning, communication and social development while helping to create a positive and inclusive learning environment.
This role offers the opportunity to make a genuine difference through patience, understanding and relationship-building.

- Supporting pupils on a 1:1 basis and within small groups
- Encouraging communication and social interaction
- Assisting with structured learning activities
- Supporting sensory and emotional needs
- Implementing personalised learning strategies
- Working alongside teachers and specialist staff
- Promoting independence and confidence
- Recording and sharing progress observations

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
