\nWe are working with secondary schools across
Tunbridge Wells and the surrounding areas who are looking for English Teachers to join their schools on a supply basis. Whether you're looking for flexible day-to-day work, regular supply or a longer-term position, we can offer opportunities to suit your experience and availability.\n
\nThere are opportunities for both
short-term cover and longer-term placements, with long-term roles paid in line with the appropriate teaching scale.\n
\nThe roleDepending on the school and placement, you could be:\n
\n
\n - Teaching English across Key Stages 3 and 4
\n - Delivering engaging English lessons
\n - Teaching towards GCSE where required
\n - Following existing schemes of work and lesson plans
\n - Planning and preparing lessons for longer-term placements
\n - Assessing and monitoring student progress
\n - Managing classroom behaviour effectively
\n - Supporting students with different abilities and learning needs
\n - Working as part of an established English department
\n
We are looking for English Teachers who:\n
\n - Have QTS or recognised teaching experience
\n - Have experience teaching English at secondary level
\n - Have strong subject knowledge
\n - Are confident teaching Key Stage 3 and GCSE English
\n - Have strong classroom management skills
\n - Can build positive relationships with students
\n - Are reliable, adaptable and professional
\n - Are looking for either flexible supply or a longer-term opportunity
\n
