We're so much more than an energy company. We're a family of brands revolutionising how we power the planet. We're energisers. One team of 21,000 colleagues that's energising a greener, fairer future by creating an energy system that doesn't rely on fossil fuels, whilst living our powerful commitment to igniting positive change in our communities. Here, you can find more purpose, more passion, and more potential. That's why working here is #MoreThanACareer. We do energy differently - we do it all. We make it, store it, move it, sell it, and mend it.

We're looking for an experienced Senior Regulatory Manager - Code Management, Regulatory Reporting & Industry Governance to lead our engagement with energy industry code governance, regulatory reporting and industry-wide change programmes.

This is a leadership role, responsible for ensuring Centrica understands and complies with its licence, code, reporting and statutory obligations, while influencing the future direction of the industry through strategic engagement with regulators, code bodies and key stakeholders.
Location: UK Flexible. Please note that you will be required to travel to external meetings, as well as internal meetings at Centrica's offices (inc. Windsor (and Reading and London Paddington from December 2026)).

Reporting into senior leadership, you will lead a team of Regulatory Managers and Analysts, providing expert oversight of industry codes, regulatory reporting obligations and governance arrangements across retail and wholesale energy markets.

You'll play a critical role in assessing regulatory and industry developments, shaping Centrica's external positions, and ensuring the business is well prepared for current and future regulatory change.
Key Accountabilities:

Developing and representing Centrica's positions with regulators, code bodies, industry participants, central service providers and consumer groups.

Driving industry and regulatory changes that reduce cost, mitigate risk, improve customer outcomes and create commercial value.

Owning and overseeing Centrica's regulatory reporting framework, ensuring accurate, timely and compliant submissions to Ofgem, government and other external stakeholders.

Embedding robust reporting governance, controls, data quality assurance, escalation processes and audit readiness across the organisation.

Leading, coaching and developing a high-performing team, setting strategic direction and ensuring delivery across code management, regulatory reporting and industry change activities.

Here's who we're looking for:

You will bring:

Extensive knowledge of industry governance arrangements, code modification processes, regulatory impact assessments and Ofgem decision-making.

Experience influencing senior stakeholders on high-profile regulatory, operational and commercial matters.

Excellent stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence, negotiate, challenge and build credibility both internally and externally.

Experience leading through complex industry change and navigating fast-moving strategic and operational priorities.

Strong leadership capability with experience developing and motivating high-performing teams.

Excellent analytical, communication, presentation and problem-solving skills.

Regulatory Reporting Expertise

You will have substantial experience in regulatory reporting governance, including:

  • Regulatory reporting frameworks and controls.
