Our Assistant Swim Club Manager role
We’re looking for an Assistant Swim Club Manager to join our Swim Club team.
You’ll support our Swim Club Manager in the day-to-day operation of the
Swim Club, working to deliver exceptional treatments using our sustainably
sourced, natural and ethical products, whilst creating a warm and
attentive experience for every guest.
You’ll also step up in our Swim Club Manager’s absence, helping to
support, lead, and inspire our team of talented Therapists and Café Bar
Assistants, acting as an advocate for our Watergate Bay Hotel brand.
This is a full-time position, working 37.5 hours per week, with a
range of team benefits aligned with our work-life balance and active relaxation

What you’ll be responsible
for
- Supporting the day-to-day running of
the Swim Club, helping to maintain a calm, well-organised and welcoming
environment. - Welcoming and engaging with guests in
a warm, friendly and professional manner. - Leading by example and supporting
team to consistently deliver our Swim Club standards. - Delivering treatments, hosting, and
conducting our Café Bar service when required. - Always
ensuring an exceptional guest experience, reflecting our brand values and
striving to exceed expectations. - Ensuring
all facilities meet the highest standards of cleanliness, presentation and
safety. - Supporting
our revenue targets across treatments, products and food and beverage through
thoughtful, confident sales.
You’ll
also
- Maintain
a strong knowledge of treatments, service standards and Swim Club operations - Support
training, inductions and ongoing development for the Swim Club team - Manage
rotas via Harri and support day to day admin including stock, timesheets and
scheduling - Handle
guest feedback, enquiries and complaints with care and professionalism - Approve
timesheets and absence requests accurately and in a timely way - Support
Café Bar and treatment stock management, including specialty items - Work
closely with HR on recruitment, onboarding and training for new team members - Ensure
full compliance with health and safety, hygiene and fire regulations,
maintaining accurate records and a safe environment - Attend
relevant training as required, including health and safety
Share and collate departmental feedback to support ongoing improvement and communication- Help
foster a positive, open and supportive team culture built on clarity and
continuous improvement
We offer a wide range of beauty treatments, from manicures to
facials, with a maximum of 4 hours allocated for massage treatments per day.
What we’re looking for
- Trustworthy and thoughtful, with a natural eye for detail
- A warm and confident communicator with strong interpersonal skills
with a friendly, enthusiastic and approachable manner - Outstanding customer care and a genuine focus on guest experience,
with a strong understanding of customer care and effective complaint handling - Ability to maintain professionalism and discretion at all times
- Reliable and punctual, with a high standard of personal
presentation and care - Previous experience working within a spa environment and/or within
a hospitality or guest-facing environment - NVQ Level 3 in Beauty Therapy or an equivalent qualification such
as BTEC or ITEC Level 3 - Supervisory or management experience within a similar setting
- Previous experience of managing a large team (preferred)
- Additional qualifications in hot stone massage, reflexology,
pregnancy massage, oncology massage or other holistic therapies are desirable
but not essential
