Location: Tunbridge Wells and surrounding areas\n
Pay: £130–£180 per day for daily cover | Pay to scale for long-term roles\n

\nAre you a Design Technology Teacher looking for flexible work or a longer-term position from September?\n
\nWe are supporting secondary schools across Tunbridge Wells and the surrounding areas with their recruitment for DT Teachers. Opportunities are available across day-to-day supply, short-term cover and longer-term placements.\n
\nWe are keen to hear from teachers with experience across different areas of Design Technology, including Product Design, Resistant Materials, Graphics, Engineering, Food Technology and Textiles.\n
\nThe role\n
    \n
  • Teaching DT across KS3 and KS4
    • \n
  • Delivering practical and theory-based lessons
    • \n
  • Teaching towards GCSE where required
    • \n
  • Supporting students with design and practical projects
    • \n
  • Maintaining safe working practices in practical environments
    • \n
  • Planning lessons for longer-term placements
    • \n
  • Assessing student work and monitoring progress
    • \n
  • Managing behaviour and maintaining a positive learning environment
    • \n
We are looking for:\n
    \n
  • QTS or relevant teaching experience
    • \n
  • Secondary DT teaching experience
    • \n
  • Strong subject knowledge and practical skills
    • \n
  • Confidence working in a practical classroom/workshop environment
    • \n
  • Good classroom management
    • \n
  • A commitment to student progress and achievement
    • \n
  • A reliable and professional approach
    • \n
