Marketing Automation & AI Specialist

Role Overview Automation and AI are becoming part of how RELEXs marketing team works day to day, and this role is where a lot of that gets built. As Marketing Automation & AI Specialist, your main focus is designing and building automations, using tools like n8n, Zapier, Claude and HubSpot, that take manual work off the teams plate and put AI to work where it genuinely helps: campaign setup, reporting, data handling, and more. Youll work hands-on, shipping things the team actually uses, and sharing what youve built so others can see whats possible. Alongside the building, youll pick up some HubSpot support and get comfortable with how our marketing and sales data connects across HubSpot, Salesforce, and Snowflake. Key Responsibilities Automation Building Design and build automations using HubSpot, n8n, Claude, or Zapier that reduce manual, repetitive work across the marketing team. Take ideas and requests from marketing colleagues and turn them into working, reliable automations. Maintain and improve existing automations, troubleshooting issues as they arise. Document how automations work so theyre maintainable and easy to hand over or build on. AI-Powered Workflows Embed AI into the automations you build, for example around content drafting, data enrichment, summarisation, or anomaly detection. Keep an eye on new AI tools and techniques that could be built into marketing workflows, and bring ideas forward. Track and communicate the impact of what youve built, helping build the case for further investment. Team Enablement Document and share what youve built with the wider marketing team, so people understand whats available and how to use it. Offer support to colleagues who want to use or adapt an automation youve built. Contribute to existing AI enablement activity (such as show-and-tells or internal resources) as opportunities come up. HubSpot & Data Support Provide HubSpot support, such as list segmentation, workflows, or campaign assets, alongside the existing HubSpot administrators. Build a working understanding of how HubSpot, Salesforce, and Snowflake data connect, so your automations use the right data in the right way. Help spot data quality issues that affect your automations, flagging them to the right person to resolve. Skills & Experience * 3–6 years of experience in a marketing operations, marketing automation or other technically-oriented marketing role. * Experience with HubSpot and Salesforce. * Hands-on, demonstrable experience building automations in n8n, Make, or Zapier. * Experience or genuine, demonstrable interest in embedding AI tools into practical workflows (not just using AI chatbots). * Comfortable working with marketing data and performance metrics; experience applying AI or automation to reporting workflows is a plus. * Strong organisational skills with an eye for detail and a methodical approach to process and documentation. * Able to manage multiple priorities and work effectively with stakeholders across marketing and sales. * Familiarity with the B2B SaaS or enterprise software space is advantageous. What Success Looks Like * Automations youve built are live, reliable, and genuinely saving the team time. * AI is embedded into real workflows, not just trialled and forgotten. * Marketing colleagues know what youve built and feel able to come to you with ideas or requests. * You’re able to support team members effectively with HubSpot related queries, and drive up development initiatives into our HubSpot setup.
