Are you a graduate looking to gain valuable experience before pursuing a career in education, psychology, therapy, or mental health services? Teaching Personnel is recruiting Graduate Inclusion Support Mentors to work within specialist SEN and SEMH provisions across Greater Manchester, supporting children and young people with additional needs. In this rewarding role, you'll support pupils with a variety of learning, behavioural, and social needs, including Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC), ADHD, SEMH needs, speech and language difficulties, anxiety, learning disabilities, and trauma-related challenges.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide individual and small-group support tailored to pupils' specific needs.
  • Encourage engagement in lessons and help students achieve their learning goals.
  • Support emotional development, wellbeing, and positive behaviour throughout the school day.
  • Build strong, trusting relationships with students, teachers, and wider school staff.
  • Assist with implementing personalised education and behaviour support strategies.

Key Requirements

  • A degree in Psychology, Health and Social Care, Education and/or Social Sciences.
  • A genuine commitment to supporting children and young people.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A patient, adaptable, and resilient mindset.
  • A proactive approach and willingness to learn.
  • An Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service, or a willingness to obtain one through Teaching Personnel.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
