You will work across all phases of the pathway, helping young players stay healthy, recover well and progress in a high-performance environment that values collaboration, detail and long-term development. Within the Manchester City Women Academy, our medical and sports science team works closely together to give players the best possible support across every phase of the pathway. We aim to create an environment where evidence-based care, clear communication and long-term development sit side by side. The Role This role sits at the centre of the MCWFC Academy medical offer, helping to deliver best-practice physiotherapy across the pathway. You will play an important part in assessing, diagnosing and supporting rehabilitation plans, while contributing to the wider performance and wellbeing of players across the Academy. A key focus of the role is helping shape and deliver evidence-based injury prevention and physiotherapy protocols, with particular attention to growth-related complaints and the changing needs of young female athletes. You will also stay close to current research and professional regulation, while maintaining accurate records and working in line with relevant legislation, policies and departmental procedures. Working closely with the Head of Physiotherapy, coaches, parents and wider club stakeholders, you will bring a calm, adaptable and collaborative approach to the role. The position requires flexibility to support all phases of the Academy as needed, including evenings and weekends, and at home and away fixtures. What You’ll Bring * BSc (Hons) Physiotherapy, with HCPC registration & Membership to the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy (CSP) - OR * BSc (Hons) Sports Therapy or equivalent qualification with associated accreditation. * Experience delivering physiotherapy within injury prevention, assessment and rehabilitation programmes. * Excellent understanding of paediatric and adolescent growth-related injuries and the principles of managing them. * Evidence of ongoing CPD, with postgraduate learning across relevant clinical skills such as manual therapy, soft tissue mobilisation or acute injury management. * Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary environment, communicate clearly with coaches and parents, and adapt to evening, weekend, home and away fixture demands.
