Job description
A highly-regarded Outstanding school in Northampton is seeking to appoint a dedicated and enthusiastic Geography Teacher to join its successful Humanities department. Job Overview This well-respected school in Northampton has an excellent reputation for high standards, outstanding student conduct, and a strong commitment to helping every learner achieve their full potential. The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering engaging and high-quality Geography lessons across KS3 and KS4, with KS5 teaching available for suitable candidates. Working closely with an experienced and collaborative department, you will inspire students through the teaching of human and physical geography, develop strong enquiry and analytical skills, and contribute to excellent outcomes across the subject. This is a rewarding opportunity suited to a passionate and ambitious teacher. Key Responsibilities Plan and deliver engaging Geography lessons across KS3 and KS4 Teach human and physical Geography to a high academic standard Assess, monitor and track student progress effectively Differentiate lessons to meet the needs of all learners Create a positive and purposeful classroom environment Contribute to curriculum planning and resource development Support fieldwork opportunities and wider Humanities initiatives Prepare students successfully for GCSE examinations Participate fully in departmental meetings, parents’ evenings and school life The School This Outstanding school in Northampton is recognised for its exceptional academic outcomes, ambitious culture, and inclusive ethos.
