Job overview

The North Thames Paediatric Network (NTPN) are recruiting for a Transformation Manager.

This post will join and manage the Paediatric and Teenage/Young Adult Operational Delivery Networks, assisting the Primary Treatment Centres at GOSH and UCLH, service providers and the wider healthcare system to ensure services for patients and their families/carers is of the highest quality and equitable delivery. The role involves senior level exposure across the system. It is a high-profile role within both Trusts, London region and within NHS England nationally, and the post holder will work closely with the Networks' Clinical Directors and Lead Nurses. The postholder will be expected to represent the network within local, regional and national forums and participate in sharing and contributing to best practice.

The post holder will also be responsible for the day to day efficient and effective operational management of the Paediatric and Teenage & Young Adult Cancer Networks, reporting to the Paediatric and Teenage & Young Adult Cancer Networks Clinical Directors, Lead Nurses and the NTPN Network Director in all matters affecting the delivery of core services.

This role is furthered by a dual function in assisting the over-arching NTPN with delivering other projects/workstreams as requested, so a candidate who is an expert multi tasker and enthused collaborator is key.

Main duties of the job

The role will be a hybrid model with a minimum of one day per week based at the Network office located at Great Ormond Street Hospital. There is also an expectation twice a month that a working day will take place on the University College London Hospital site. Non office days, working is via Microsoft (MS) Teams from home.

During the induction period, please be aware there will be an expectation to be available at the office onsite up to five days a week. The length of this induction period is subject to satisfactory progression. There will also be as part of the role, ad hoc visits to network hospitals and for ad hoc regional/national face to face meetings (travel reimbursable).

  • Excellent IT skills including the use of Zoom, Microsoft Teams, Word, PowerPoint, social media for educational purposes & other web-based systems
