Job Description

Affinity Partnerships are looking for an experienced Qualified Teacher to work within one of the Secondary Schools we are currently supporting. We welcome applications from Newly Qualified Teachers or final year students and experienced Teachers alike. We are seeking an enthusiastic teacher who would be excited to teach a modified curriculum to amazing group of individuals, throughout key stages 3 and 4. This Teaching role is on a full-time basis, starting in September.

The ideal candidate will:

\n
    \n
  • QTS or QTLS
  • \n
  • Have the ability to teach secondary pupils.
  • \n
  • Comfortable with secondary curriculum expectations
  • \n
  • Be able to teach a variety of subject including English and Maths
  • \n
  • Be highly organised with excellent communication skills
  • \n
  • Have a desire to work with, inspire and support children from all needs and backgrounds
  • \n
  • Have excellent behaviour management skills
  • \n
  • Understand the expectations against the Teachers Standards.
  • \n

Main Responsibilities:

\n
    \n
  • Teaching a variety of subjects to primary pupils
  • \n
  • Planning lessons and activities for whole class learning and group learning
  • \n
  • Supporting SEND children with their work in a class setting
  • \n
  • Managing difficult behaviours and implementing the school behaviour policy
  • \n
  • Safeguarding vulnerable pupils
  • \n
  • Possible supervising on lunch and break times
  • \n
  • Supporting and managing teaching assistants within the classroom
  • \n
  • Building relationships with staff and pupils
  • \n
  • Collecting evidence of pupils work to support their assessments
  • \n
  • Feedback to the relevant member of staff about the pupils progress
  • \n
  • To have pastoral responsibility for a group of pupils
  • \n
  • Potentially lead in a subject area
  • \n
  • Ensure a team approach to education with stakeholders such as parents and carers
  • \n
