Consultant Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist

Meaningful work. On your terms. / Make an impact. Make it meaningful.

Consultant Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist Self-employed opportunities | Remote, Hybrid and Clinic-based (London, Bristol & Oxford)

Demand for high-quality neurodevelopmental and mental health services continues to grow, with more children and young people seeking assessments and support for ADHD, Autism and other mental health conditions.

As one of the UK's leading providers of neurodevelopmental and mental health services, Clinical Partners helps thousands of patients access specialist assessments, diagnosis and treatment every year. We're looking for experienced Consultant Child and Adolescent Psychiatrists to join our growing network of clinicians. Whether you prefer to work remotely, from one of our clinics in London, Bristol or Oxford, or on a hybrid basis, you'll have the flexibility to work in a way that suits you while helping more patients access the care they need.

Why work with Clinical Partners? Focus on clinical care

You’ll be provided with clinically prepared patients, carefully triaged by our experienced teams. From appointment booking and patient questionnaires to triage and preparation, we take care of the administrative detail that supports the assessment process. Dedicated Operations teams, patient management systems and tools that help reduce report writing time allow you to spend more time focused on assessments, diagnosis and delivering high-quality patient care.

Flexibility that works for you

Whether you're looking to complement existing commitments, build a portfolio career or increase your clinical hours, you can choose how and where you work. Opportunities are available remotely, on-site in London, Bristol and Oxford, or on a hybrid basis. There are no minimum hour commitments or activity targets, giving you genuine flexibility around your professional and personal priorities.

Clinical excellence and support

Our services operate through NICE-aligned pathways and are supported by experienced Clinical Leadership teams and robust clinical governance. You’ll have the autonomy to practise independently while being part of a wider multidisciplinary team committed to delivering safe, evidence-based care. You’ll also have access to support with revalidation and appraisals through our Responsible Officer, alongside experienced operational teams who help ensure every patient journey runs smoothly.

The role

You’ll deliver high-quality psychiatric assessments and ongoing care for children and young people, including:

  • Conducting comprehensive psychiatric assessments
  • Diagnosing ADHD, Autism and other mental health conditions
  • Developing personalised treatment plans
  • Conducting medication reviews and prescribing where appropriate
  • Producing high-quality clinical reports
  • Working collaboratively with multidisciplinary colleagues to deliver the best possible patient outcomes

What you’ll need

  • GMC Specialist Registration
  • MRCPsych (or equivalent)
  • Consultant CAMHS Psychiatrist experience
  • Experience assessing and treating ADHD and Autism in children and young people
  • Experience using Young DIVA-5 and ADI-R
  • Excellent communication and clinical report-writing skills
  • Strong understanding of mental health legislation, safeguarding and risk assessment
  • Enhanced DBS check
  • Legal right to work in the UK

Make it meaningful.

Equal Opportunities Employer:

At Clinical Partners we are committed to creating an inclusive and diverse workplace. We believe that everyone deserves an equal opportunity to succeed, regardless of their background, race, gender, age, disability, sexual orientation, or any other characteristic. We welcome applications from all qualified candidates and strive to provide a supportive and respectful environment for all employees.

DBS Check Requirement:

Please note that this position requires a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check as part of our commitment to safeguarding and ensuring the safety of our clients and staff. The successful candidate will be required to undergo a DBS check before commencing employment.
