Job description

Veterinary Referral Clinician - Internal Medicine (18 Month FTC)

We are looking to recruit an additional Internal Medicine clinician on a full time basis. This role would suit a board-certified or residency trained candidate ready to progress their team in a welcoming and adaptable team. The successful applicant would be keen to work alongside existing clinicians to drive the business forward, with potential for progression into a more senior position in the future for the right applicant. This position will be for an initial period of 18 months with scope for the role to be made permanent.

Pride Veterinary Referrals are the small animal referral hospital for the Scarsdale Veterinary Group, a multi-disciplinary group employing over 300 staff across 10 sites in the East Midlands. At Pride we offer specialist led referral services in anaesthesia, diagnostic imaging, internal medicine, soft tissue and orthopaedic surgery, neurology, oncology, and ophthalmology. We also provide an advanced practitioner led cardiology service, and on-site physiotherapy and hydrotherapy services.

The hospital provides 24/7 veterinary care, supported by a dedicated night team. We have 5 operating theatres, a full imaging suite with X-Ray, CT, MRI and Ultrasound, and an on-site Laboratory. We work closely with the University of Nottingham, with final year veterinary students rotating through first opinion and referral services at Pride.

We are located at the edge of Derby city centre with good transport links to major cities via road and rail network. East Midlands Airport and Birmingham International Airport offer convenient access to domestic and international destinations. The amazing Peak District National Park is just around the corner where there are lots of walking, climbing, and sightseeing opportunities.

At inspiring vet care, our people are at the heart of everything we do. As the UK’s number one vet care provider, we're trusted with the care of over 2 million animals, delivering our purpose of healthier animals and happier owners.

How You’ll Make a Difference
