Please note, candidates must be based in West Yorkshire The role Are you passionate about helping people reduce their energy bills, improve energy efficiency and make more sustainable choices? We're looking for a Multi Programme Energy Advisor to join our Advice Delivery team. As an Energy Advisor, you'll provide trusted, independent and impartial advice to householders and small businesses, helping them reduce energy costs, lower carbon emissions and create warmer, more comfortable homes. Working across a range of funded energy advice programmes, you'll support customers by phone, email and online. You'll provide tailored advice on energy efficiency improvements, renewable technologies, low and zero carbon heating, affordable warmth, low carbon transport and water efficiency. This is a rewarding role where you'll make a real difference to people's lives while contributing to the UK's transition to a net zero future. Full training will be provided, and you'll have the opportunity to develop your knowledge across a broad range of energy and sustainability topics. The team You'll join our Advice Delivery team, a friendly and supportive group of advisors who deliver high-quality energy advice to consumers across the UK. The team plays a vital role in helping people understand the opportunities available to reduce energy use, save money and lower their environmental impact. We work across multiple programmes and services, providing practical support and excellent customer service to a diverse range of customers. Whether helping a householder make their home warmer or supporting a small business to improve energy efficiency, every conversation has the potential to create positive change. What you will do Deliver individually tailored energy advice to householders and small businesses via telephone, email and online channels. Provide accurate, impartial and engaging information on energy efficiency, affordable warmth, home renewables, low carbon heating systems, low carbon transport and water efficiency. Identify customers who may require additional support and make appropriate referrals or signpost them to relevant services. Support customers to take practical actions that reduce energy consumption, lower fuel bills and cut carbon emissions. Accurately record customer information and advice provided using our CRM systems, ensuring compliance with data protection requirements. Send appropriate follow-up information and resources to customers. Work across multiple advice programmes, learning and applying programme-specific knowledge and guidance. Consistently deliver excellent customer service and maintain high quality standards. What you will bring Experience of delivering excellent customer service within an advice, support or customer-facing environment. Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain technical information in a clear and accessible way. Confidence communicating with a wide range of people, including vulnerable customers. Knowledge and understanding of energy efficiency and an interest in sustainability and low carbon living. Ability to quickly learn and apply new information and guidance. Strong organisational skills and the ability to prioritise work effectively in a busy environment. Excellent attention to detail and the ability to accurately record information while engaging with customers. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office and CRM/database systems. Experience of working within quality standards, procedures and performance targets.
