Role Overview
This is a hybrid role that requires the successful candidate to be in our Leicester HQ office two days per week.
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a commercially focused and strategic Fleet Procurement Manager to join Europcar Mobility Group UK.
Reporting into the Fleet Procurement function, you will play a pivotal role in developing and maintaining strong relationships with global vehicle manufacturers and key supplier partners. You will lead commercial negotiations, optimise vehicle acquisition strategies and ensure the business maintains a cost effective, sustainable and market leading fleet.
This is a highly collaborative role requiring strong commercial acumen, analytical thinking and the ability to influence stakeholders across multiple business functions.

Key Responsibilities
Strategic Procurement & Supplier Management
- Develop and maintain strategic partnerships with vehicle manufacturers, dealerships and key suppliers to secure competitive commercial terms and reliable vehicle supply.
- Lead commercial negotiations for annual fleet purchasing programmes and ad-hoc vehicle sourcing requirements.
- Deliver best value through optimisation of Total Cost of Ownership (TCO), manufacturer support, rebates, incentives and delivery schedules.
- Manage the full contract lifecycle, including drafting, reviewing and maintaining commercial agreements and Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
- Identify opportunities for supplier performance improvements, cost efficiencies and long-term value creation.
Fleet Planning & Market Intelligence
- Monitor automotive market trends, manufacturer strategies, supply chain developments and emerging technologies.
- Keep abreast of legislative changes including Zero Emission Vehicle (ZEV) regulations and sustainability initiatives.
- Produce market insights and recommendations to support strategic fleet planning and business decision-making.
Data Management & Commercial Analysis
- Maintain accurate procurement data, pricing schedules, contract documentation and supplier records.
- Analyse fleet purchasing performance, supplier KPIs and procurement spend to identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
- Produce regular management information and reports to support senior leadership and commercial planning.
Stakeholder Management
- Build effective relationships with internal stakeholders including Commercial, Revenue & Capacity Management, Operations, Finance and Vehicle Remarketing.
- Act as the procurement subject matter expert, providing commercial guidance and supporting cross-functional projects.
- Present procurement recommendations and business cases to senior management where appropriate.
Governance & Continuous Improvement
- Ensure procurement activities comply with company policies, governance standards and contractual obligations.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance procurement processes, efficiency and supplier performance.
- Promote sustainability, innovation and best practice throughout the procurement lifecycle.
Skills & Experience
- Proven procurement or commercial buying experience, ideally within the automotive, fleet or leasing sector.
- Excellent negotiation and supplier relationship management skills.
- Strong commercial awareness with the ability to identify cost saving and value enhancing opportunities.
- Highly analytical with excellent attention to detail and strong problem solving abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast paced environment.
- Excellent communication and influencing skills with the confidence to engage senior stakeholders.
- Self motivated, proactive and results driven.
- High levels of integrity and professionalism when handling commercially sensitive information.
Technical Requirements
- Advanced Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel, together with experience using Google Workspace.
- Experience analysing procurement data and producing management reports.
- Good understanding of fleet procurement principles and automotive market dynamics.
- Full UK Driving Licence.
- CIPS Level 4 qualification (or working towards) is desirable, although equivalent commercial experience will be considered.
