We are looking for an inspirational full‑time Senior Head of School on a permanent basis. This is an exciting opportunity to support our primary schools where community, family and adventure are at the heart of everything we do. The successful candidate will be a professional and conscientious worker who can fit into a friendly team that goes above and beyond for the pupils and wider community.

Role Overview

As the Senior Head of School, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of St. Petrocs, working closely with our Hub Lead who oversees five schools within the trust. This is an ideal position for an experienced middle‑leadership candidate looking for the next move into senior leadership. You will receive dedicated support as you drive continuous improvement and excellence in teaching and learning.

Key Responsibilities

  • Formulate the aims and objectives of the school and establish the policies through which they are to be achieved.
  • Be responsible for the standards and curriculum of all pupils, including monitoring progress towards achievement.
  • Proactively manage staff and resources.
  • Take full responsibility for the school.
  • Carry out the professional duties of a teacher as required.
  • Take responsibility for Child Protection issues as Designated Safeguarding Lead.
  • Take responsibility for promoting and safeguarding the welfare of children and young people within the school.
