What are we looking for

Cleveland Clinic London is seeking an experienced and highly capable Nuclear Medicine Manager to provide senior leadership for our Nuclear Medicine department within Imaging Services.

This is a key leadership role for an individual who can combine nuclear medicine expertise with operational discipline regulatory assurance and service development capability. The postholder will be responsible for leading a safe high-quality and patient-centred nuclear medicine service ensuring robust governance across diagnostic therapeutic radiopharmacy radioactive waste and radiation safety pathways.

The Nuclear Medicine Manager will provide strategic operational and professional leadership for the service supporting current delivery while contributing to the NM service development commissioning and future expansion. The role requires a confident leader who can work effectively across clinical scientific operational and regulatory interfaces to ensure the service operates to the highest standards of safety quality and compliance.

The role will be primarily Monday to Friday during core office hours with flexibility required to support the department outside these hours where service or business needs require.

Our team combines physician leadership with state of the art imaging equipment aiming to lead globally in radiological services. By joining the Imaging team youll be part of a dynamic environment that embraces technological advancements and prioritises compassionate patient care.

What will your duties include

  • Support CCLs responsibilities under IR(ME)R including implementation and oversight of the companys procedures

  • Ensure robust systems are in place for incident reporting clinical audits and following compliance with national reporting requirements

  • Ensure governance and oversight of Nuclear Medicine QA programmes Radiopharmaceutical preparation dispensing and administration processes and Radioactive waste management and environmental compliance

  • Provide senior leadership for nuclear medicine services ensuring safe efficient and patient-centred care delivery of diagnostic and therapeutic procedures and effective scheduling of SPECT-CT PET-CT and radionuclide therapy pathways

  • Lead the safe commissioning of nuclear medicine services including installation commissioning and clinical acceptance of imaging equipment (SPECT-CT / PET-CT)

  • Maintain and continuously improve a comprehensive nuclear medicine QMS including Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for imaging radiopharmacy and therapies

  • Provide professional leadership to nuclear medicine staff ensuring compliance with HCPC standards and ongoing professional development and advanced practice

What we need from you

  • Minimally a BSc(Hons) Radiography DCR(D) Diploma of the College of Radiographers or equivalent required

  • Current valid Healthcare Professional Council (HCPC) registration required

  • Demonstrable knowledge of IR(ME)R and IRR17 regulatory frameworks and ARSAC requirements

  • Strong understanding of nuclear medicine imaging radiopharmaceuticals QA and regulatory frameworks

  • Extensive experience in service leadership and development

  • Demonstrated experience in budget management workforce planning and service transformation

  • Proven ability to lead complex high-risk clinical services
