HGV TechnicianSwindonUp to £42,500 depending on shift pattern, plus overtime paid at time and a half40 hours per week | Days, Lates and Nights AvailableLet's be honest...Good HGV Technicians are worth their weight in gold.You're the people who keep fleets moving, solve problems others can't find, and make sure vehicles leave the workshop safe, compliant and ready for the road.If you're looking for a role where your skills are genuinely valued, where training and development are encouraged, and where there are real opportunities to build a long-term career, then this could be exactly what you're looking for.The RoleWorking as part of a busy and experienced workshop team, you'll be responsible for maintaining, diagnosing and repairing a range of HGVs, trailers and commercial vehicles.Day-to-day you'll be:? Carrying out servicing, maintenance and repairs on HGVs and trailers? Diagnosing faults and identifying worn or damaged components? Completing inspections and preventative maintenance activities? Working closely with other technicians to resolve complex repairs? Completing all relevant job cards, paperwork and warranty documentation? Maintaining high workshop standards and ensuring a safe working environment? Supporting roadside breakdown and emergency repair work when requiredWhat We're Looking For? Level 3 qualification in Vehicle Maintenance & Repair (NVQ, City & Guilds or IMI)? Previous experience working on HGVs and commercial vehicles? Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills? Good understanding of DVSA standards and compliance requirements? Full UK Driving Licence? IRTEC accreditation would be advantageous but is not essentialResearch shows many people won't apply unless they meet every single requirement.
