Exceptions above the standard range are managed through governance controls to protect internal equity.

Your Impact:

• Oversee daily operations of the CEMA range, ensuring availability, performance, and security.

• Manage the design, deployment, and maintenance of virtualised and physical range environments.

• Develop and maintain realistic threat scenarios, red‑team activities, and training injects.

• Coordinate range scheduling, resource allocation, and multi‑team exercises.

• Ensure compliance with security, accreditation, and data-handling requirements.

CEMA Integration & Capability Development

• Lead the integration of cyber, electronic warfare, and information activities into training and experimentation events.

• Work with SMEs to design scenarios that reflect real‑world CEMA operations, including contested electromagnetic environments.

• Support capability trials, tool evaluation, and TTP (tactics, techniques, procedures) development.

• Maintain awareness of emerging CEMA threats, technologies, and doctrine.

Team Leadership & Stakeholder Management

• Manage a cross-LoB team of engineers, operators and exercise planners.

• Act as the primary point of contact for internal and external stakeholders, including military customers and industry partners.

• Provide technical and operational guidance to ensure safe, effective, and mission‑aligned range activities.

• Deliver briefings, reports, and after‑action reviews to senior leadership.

Exercise Planning & Delivery

• Lead the planning, execution, and evaluation of CEMA training events.

• Develop exercise objectives, success criteria, and performance metrics.

• Ensure smooth integration of blue, red, white, and grey cell functions.

• Capture lessons learned and drive continuous improvement of scenarios and infrastructure.

What You'll Bring:

• Strong background in cyber and/or EM operations, CEMA, or cyber‑electromagnetic training environments.

• Experience managing synthetic environments, testbeds, or technical training platforms.

• Understanding of offensive and defensive cyber techniques, EW fundamentals, and threat emulation.

• Proven leadership experience in technical or operational teams.

• Ability to translate operational requirements into technical solutions.

• Familiarity with virtualisation, networking, cloud platforms, and security tooling.

• Excellent communication, planning, and stakeholder management skills.

• Experience in defence, national security, or critical infrastructure environments.

• Experience with RF systems, spectrum management, or EW toolsets.

• Background in exercise design, red teaming, or cyber training delivery.

Personal Attributes

• Calm under pressure and comfortable leading complex, multi‑team events.

• Highly organised with strong attention to detail.

• Collaborative mindset with the ability to influence across technical and operational domains.

• Driven to innovate and continuously improve training realism and capability development.
