About the role
We are looking forastrategic thinkingflexible and creativeindividual whocansuccessfullychallenge the status quowho hassuitableprovenIndirectprocurementexperience consummate with the within afast-pacedand fluidenvironmentideallycomingfromwithin theLuxuryCosmetic or Personal Care industry with alargeglobalfocus on e-commerce support.
Theindividual will have global remit for sourcingand cost reductionacrossthe fullrange ofIndirectcategories. Key categoriesof focusincludeIT/Tech Marketing (incl. Digital) PR& events Professional ServicesandStore Design/Visual Merchandising (both design andfixtures/fittings).They must be able to demonstrate delivery of significant savings within category.
Takea lead role ininfluencingbothcentral andregionalkeystakeholderstowards aglobal category planwhich theyve facilitated across the teams including apipeline androadmapfor delivery across the coming12-18months.
As a Head of Indirect Procurement you will
- Responsibility for development and delivery of thekey Indirectcategory sourcingstrategy and plans workingcloselywithglobal/regionalleads togain buy-in to anddeliver aglobal strategyplanin agreement with theGlobal Procurement Director.
- As part ofcategory strategy identify risks and consolidation opportunitieswithin supply base includingchallenging specification needs vs. wants.
- Spend Mapping of allassociatedspend data to support sourcing strategy evolving current solution tosomethingmore fit for purpose.
- Forecasting monitoring and reporting on all assigned cost initiatives monthly includingfullownership within the Cost Initiative pipeline tracker.
- Ownership for full justification business casesfor team expansionas required.
- As a subject matter expert providing critical challenge to thecurrent supply base with key operational stakeholders and present alternate solutions thatoptimise business growth and improve business efficienciesin line with the category plan.
- Developingand owning in agreement withthe Procurement DirectoraggressiveCost Initiativereduction targets ona12-monthrolling annualbasis includingsetting budget cost targets.
- New supplier sourcing andtendering programmeswith developmentand monitoringof full24-monthsourcing pipeline.
- Ownership forIndirectteamdevelopment includingidentification of gaps and needsupskilling through training knowledge gaining and for each member to have a Personal Development Plan(PDP) knowing what they need to achieve to attain their next promotion.
- Ensuring that contractsin place for all spend above 100k ensuring legacy supplier contracts added to meet Procurement overall KPIs.
- Ensuring compliance both within Procurement and wider business of theuse of Globability tendering solution.
- Establish and manage QBR process acrossidentifiedkey category suppliers including KPI/SLA implementation and monitoring including building SLAs into legacy supplier agreements.
- OwningIndirect procurement finance tracker includingteamannual budgets ensuring all Opex/Capex required for the team is captured andmonitored.
- Work with PUIG teams to identify and implementIndirect Categorysynergies where appropriate.
- Developand implement procurementprocesses to ensuremaverick spend minimised and multiplesimilarvendor set-ups consolidated.
- Ownership for setting up and maintaining risk management policy and supplier monitoring.
- Ownership for SupplierCategorisationhierarchies and taxonomy.

About you
COMPETENCYMUST HAVES
- Building Best in Class Team Needs to be able to demonstrate building and leadership of strategic Indirect procurement/sourcing team with full competence matrix PDP and recognition of successes.
- Disrupt & Innovate Must be able to think outside the box constantly bringing new ideas and process evolutions to the table and then delivering against them.
- Learning Curve-Capability to quickly take on boardand disseminatenew data/infoaround operational business needs and quicklydevelop into a sourcing planof action.
- Attention to Detail Able to work at an extremely fast pace withoutmaking unchecked errorsacross a wide range of cost initiative projects at the same time.
- Conflicting Priorities-Abilitytocommit to and deliver against deadlines agreed where there will be multiple priorities to consider andmanage.
- Project Management GuruMust be conversant with both sourcing tenders/RFP processes as well as VAVE project management with suppliers. Strong management of both external and internal stakeholders to deliver a project on time withsignificantassociatedsavings.
- Commercial acumen-Role holder must have strong negotiation skills withcleardemonstrableconsistentcost saving achievements both from tendering and negotiation as well as project managingvalue engineering cost initiatives.
- Autonomy Must be able to take responsibility for own resource time prioritising biggest bang for your buck and ownership of delivery with minimal direct support.
EXPERIENCE EXPECTATIONS
- Thorough knowledge of supply markets supplier capabilities and competitor activity.
- Thorough subject matter expertise in at least two of the Indirect categories mentioned.
- Previousprocurementexperience withinLuxuryCosmetic or Personal care business.
- Previous experience supporting e-commstech and performance marketing solutions.
- Some experience withinthird party logisticsfulfilment andB2Ccouriers to supportProcurement Manager Logistics.
- Mustbe able to demonstratehavingdeveloped and implementedIndirect categorystrategy reviewsand plans.
- Strong data analysiscapabilityto support category strategy development.
- Soundlegal contractknowledge and in ownership of legal compliance for contracts less than 100k.
- Must be comfortable working withambiguous and/or incomplete information to achieve a significantcost benefitresult.
- Demonstrated use and implementation of source to contract e-sourcing tools a distinct advantage.
- Ideally have CIPS accreditation.
- Must haveexperience and workedwithin aSource to Contractsystem previously.
In addition to the above we would LOVE if youhave
- Knowledge ofvector databases and retrieval strategies.
- Experience withrecommender systems and ranking models.
- Familiarity with LLM evaluation tools (e.g. RAGASTruLensLangSmithArize).
- A working understanding of cloud networking and platform infrastructure.
- Experience in e-commerce or retail environments.
