Pearson Carter are currently working with a major public sector programme, who are looking to recruit a Data Engineer to join their growing Data & Integration team.
\nThis is an excellent opportunity to work on a large-scale enterprise data platform, helping to build modern data pipelines and integration solutions that support business intelligence, reporting, and future AI capabilities.
Responsibilities\nDevelop, maintain and support enterprise data pipelines and integration solutions.
Build and maintain ETL/ELT processes across multiple data sources.
Support cloud-based data platforms and contribute to the continuous improvement of enterprise data capabilities.
Assist with data modelling, schema design and the creation of datasets for reporting and analytics.
Monitor pipeline performance, troubleshoot issues and improve data quality and reliability.
Collaborate with Data Analysts, Software Engineers and business stakeholders to understand data requirements.
Support data governance, security and best practice across enterprise data platforms.
Current SC Clearance or previously held SC Clearance.
Up to 2 years' experience in Data Engineering, Software Engineering, Analytics or a similar technical role.
Strong SQL and Python skills.
Understanding of ETL/ELT processes and data integration.
Knowledge of relational databases and data engineering principles.
Experience working with Git or other version control systems.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Experience with Microsoft Azure, AWS or Google Cloud.
Exposure to Microsoft Fabric, Azure Data Factory, Databricks or similar data engineering technologies.
Knowledge of data governance, data quality and reporting concepts.
Experience working in Agile environments.
