Furniture Technician Our client is a well-established furniture & upholstery restoration business currently going through an exciting period of growth across the UK, Scotland and Ireland, with ambitious plans for the future.
They're looking for an experienced Furniture Technician, Upholsterer, Furniture Restorer or Upholstery Specialist to join the team, carrying out furniture repair and restoration work in customers' own homes. If your background is in domestic furniture manufacturing, upholstery, French polishing, furniture spraying or restoration, this role offers strong earning potential, genuine progression and a well-rounded benefits package.
What you'll be doing:
Visit customers in their own homes to inspect furniture and upholstery, diagnosing the repair or restoration work neededCarry out repairs to upholstered furniture to a high standard, using the tools, materials and restoration kits providedProduce clear, accurate written reports for both the business and the customer following each visitAdvise customers on ongoing product care and maintenanceRepresent the business professionally and deliver a consistently excellent standard of customer serviceWhat we're looking for: Significant hands-on experience in domestic upholstery, furniture repair, or furniture production and restoration techniquesStrong working knowledge of modern furniture materials and repair methodsConfident written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to write clear customer-facing reportsWell organised, proactive and methodical approach to your workAble to remain calm and effective under pressure and to tight deadlinesComfortable working independently, using your own initiative, as well as part of a wider teamWhat's on offer: Basic salary from £33,710, with realistic total earnings of £37,500 to £41,370 or more with additional overtime at your requestPerformance-related bonus of up to an additional £200 per month on top of all these earnings.
