two Assembly Team Leaders

to join a busy and growing kitchen manufacturing business. This is an exciting opportunity to take ownership of a well-established assembly operation, lead a team, and make a real impact on performance, quality, and people development. The Role

Reporting into the Assembly Manager, you will be responsible for leading and supporting a team within the assembly department, ensuring production targets, quality standards, and safety requirements are consistently achieved. This is a hands-on leadership role where you'll be expected to motivate your team, solve problems quickly, and use your initiative to keep production flowing efficiently. Key responsibilities include: Leading, coaching, and motivating assembly operatives across your shift Delegating workload and ensuring tasks are completed effectively Managing day-to-day team performance and productivity Supporting holiday planning, absence management, and disciplinary processes Ensuring the smooth flow of the assembly line and identifying any issues that could impact production Working closely with management to resolve operational challenges Monitoring stock availability and supporting efficient material flow Reviewing technical drawings and Bills of Materials (BOMs) where required Driving continuous improvement and sharing best practices across shifts Maintaining high standards of quality, safety, and housekeeping About You

We're looking for a confident and proactive leader who can hit the ground running and positively influence both people and performance. You'll ideally have: 2-3 years' experience in a Team Leader, Shift Leader, or Supervisory role Experience managing teams within a manufacturing, assembly, production, or engineering environment Strong people management skills and the ability to gain team buy-in Experience dealing with day-to-day employee matters including attendance, holidays, and performance management The confidence to make decisions and resolve issues independently Exposure to production drawings and Bills of Materials (BOMs) would be advantageous An understanding of manufacturing flow lines, stock control, and production processes is highly desirable The Person
