Job description

Position: Site Assistant Location: Slough Contract: Full-Time, Permanent Start Date: Immediate Start Available Site Assistant Role in a Good Secondary School A Good Secondary School in Slough is looking to appoint a dependable and hardworking Site Assistant to join its friendly premises team. About the Role The successful candidate will support the day-to-day operation of the school site, ensuring that buildings, grounds, and facilities remain clean, safe, and well maintained. Working alongside the Site Manager and wider premises team, you will assist with routine maintenance, minor repairs, health and safety checks, site security, porterage duties, and preparing rooms for lessons, meetings, and school events. You will play an important role in ensuring the school operates efficiently on a daily basis. This is a hands-on position that would suit someone who is practical, reliable, and takes pride in maintaining high standards. Key Responsibilities Assist with the daily maintenance and upkeep of the school site Carry out minor repairs and basic DIY tasks Support the opening and closing of the school premises Complete routine health and safety and compliance checks Assist with site security and access control Prepare classrooms and communal spaces for school activities and events Liaise with contractors and report maintenance issues Help maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment across the school The School Environment This Good Secondary School in Slough offers a supportive and inclusive environment where students are encouraged to achieve both academically and personally.
