£29,000 - £35,000 per annum (depending on experience), plus paid travel time after the first 40 minutes each way

About the Role
As a Senior Carpenter Craftsperson, you will become an integral member of the Operations team, reporting to a site based Project Manager (working foreman), and carrying out a wide range of specialist carpentry and restoration work.
The role is primarily focused on windows and doors, with approximately 90% of projects involving the restoration, repair and enhancement of existing timber joinery. You will also support insulation installations and other energy efficiency improvements, ensuring every project is completed to the highest possible standard.
Key Responsibilities
Restore and refurbish timber casement windows, sash windows and doors.
Carry out repairs including replacing cills, glazing, sash reweighting and timber restoration.
Install specialist secondary glazing systems and invisible draught-proofing solutions.
Build and fit hardwood frames and bespoke joinery components.
Complete loft, underfloor and roof insulation installations where required.
Carry out painting and decorating associated with restoration works.
Operate hand and power tools safely and efficiently.
Maintain exceptionally high standards of workmanship, cleanliness and customer care.
Load and unload tools and materials safely.
Maintain company vehicles, tools and equipment.
Work safely at height using appropriate access equipment.
Support warehouse housekeeping and vehicle safety checks.
Drive company vehicles when required.
Occasionally travel and stay away from home for agreed projects (expenses paid).
Key Skills and Qualifications
Minimum 3-5 years' carpentry experience.
Extensive second-fix carpentry experience with excellent finishing skills.
Experience fitting kitchens, bespoke joinery, skirting, architraves or similar high-quality work.
Experience working respectfully within occupied private homes.
NVQ Level 2 in Carpentry & Joinery or equivalent practical experience.
Full clean UK driving licence.
Excellent joinery and carpentry skills.
Competent using a range of hand and power tools.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality finishes.
Able to work independently and as part of a team.
Excellent communication and organisational skills.
Professional, tidy and customer-focused approach.
Comfortable working in confined spaces and at height when required.
Own standard set of carpentry/joinery tools.
First Aid, CSCS and Health & Safety qualifications are advantageous.
