This is a fantastic opportunity for an Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join the delivery team on a £50M highway project in Weston-super-Mare. My client is a highly reputable Civil Engineering contractor acting as principal contractor on this essential highway project. You will be part of the project based commercial team, responsible for managing costs, subcontractors, CVR’s etc over a 3-year construction programme. As an Assistant Quantity Surveyor you will: * Be responsible for applications, valuations / cost value reconciliation. * Be involved with Cost control and forecasting. Preparing and feeding information for monthly reports: * value, cost, profit/loss, cash flow. * Take responsibility for supply chain management. * Assist with Risk and Value Management to optimise solution. * A degree (or similar qualification) in Quantity Surveying. * Have experience working for a tier one Civil Engineering contractor, ideally within the Water sector. * Have excellent communication skills. * A good working knowledge of NEC suite of contracts.
