REQUIREMENTS

Essential requirements include:

  • Degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Systems Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Experience in power system modelling and analysis for transmission and/or distribution networks.
  • Experience contributing to the design of electrical networks, including substations, cables, overhead lines, and associated plant.

  • Knowledge of relevant industry standards, including the GB Grid Code, Distribution Code, ENA Engineering Recommendations, or equivalent standards.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with clients, contractors, and multidisciplinary teams.
  • Self‑motivated with a willingness to learn, develop, and contribute to technical excellence.
  • Experience mentoring junior engineers or leading small project teams.
  • Chartered Engineer (CEng) status or working towards chartership.
  • Experience with Python for analysis or automation
