Job description
Firm SJC Partners are working with a well-established and growing regional law firm that is looking to recruit a Conveyancing Legal Assistant to join its busy Residential Property team. The firm has built an excellent reputation for delivering high-quality residential and commercial property services, with a strong focus on providing an efficient, personable and client-focused experience. Known for its supportive culture and commitment to employee development, this is an excellent opportunity to join a collaborative team where you'll receive ongoing training and genuine opportunities for career progression.Role The successful candidate will join the firm's thriving Residential Property department, providing day-to-day support to experienced conveyancers and solicitors while assisting with a varied caseload of residential property transactions. This opportunity would suit an ambitious Conveyancing Legal Assistant, Conveyancing Assistant or Legal Assistant with previous residential property experience who is looking to further develop their career within a respected and progressive law firm. Working closely with the wider conveyancing team, you'll play a key role in ensuring transactions progress smoothly from instruction through to completion while delivering an excellent level of client service.Responsibilities The successful candidate will be responsible for:
  • Supporting fee earners with a varied caseload of residential property transactions
  • Opening new client matters and carrying out file inception procedures
  • Preparing legal documents and correspondence
  • Ordering searches and assisting with enquiries
  • Liaising with clients, estate agents, mortgage lenders and solicitors
  • Keeping clients updated throughout the conveyancing process
  • Preparing completion packs and assisting with post-completion matters
  • Managing diaries, appointments and general file administration
  • Handling confidential information with professionalism and attention to detail
  • Ensuring matters progress efficiently while maintaining excellent standards of client care
