MERITUS are recruiting for a Service Engineer to join an expanding Systems Integration Consultancy, supporting the maintenance, commissioning and reliability of critical electrical and control systems at a Nuclear Power Station in Heysham. SERVICE ENGINEER - £NEG (ENQUIRE FOR DETAILS) - NUCLEAR POWER STATION - HEYSHAM - SC CLEARANCE ELIGIBILITY REQUIRED We're looking for a Service Engineer with a strong electrical engineering background to carry out planned maintenance, fault finding, technical support and small project work within a highly regulated nuclear environment. Full training will be provided on site-specific systems and equipment. Responsibilities * Install, test and commission small electrical and control system projects. * Carry out planned maintenance, site surveys, technical audits and system health checks. * Complete system upgrades, patching, backup and restore activities. * Diagnose and resolve faults on electrical and control systems. * Provide remote and on-site technical support. * Complete service reports and technical documentation. * Participate in an out-of-hours support rota. Skills & Experience Essential: * Strong electrical engineering background. * Full UK driving licence. * Excellent fault-finding and problem-solving skills. * Strong communication and organisational skills. Desirable: * Experience with PLCs, RTUs or industrial control systems. * Experience within nuclear, power generation, utilities or other regulated industries. * Ability to obtain UK Security Clearance (SC).
