Do you have experience supporting young people who need guidance, structure, and positive role models?
We're seeking a confident and resilient Pastoral Support Assistant to join a specialist primary school supporting pupils with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs.
This role would suit candidates from a variety of backgrounds including youth work, support work, sports coaching, care, mentoring, alternative provision, SEND support, or education. If you're passionate about helping children reach their potential and thrive in a challenging but highly rewarding environment, we'd love to hear from you.
You will work closely with pupils who require additional emotional and behavioural support throughout the school day. Building positive relationships is at the heart of this role, helping children feel safe, supported, and ready to engage with learning.

Supporting pupils with SEMH and behavioural needs
Acting as a positive role model throughout the school day

The school is situated in a rural area of Knowle and has limited public transport access. Candidates with their own transport are strongly preferred, as bus routes only run as far as Dorridge.
This position is primarily offered on a full-time, long-term basis, although exceptional candidates seeking part-time work may be considered.
