Kenneth Brian Associates are working on a new opportunity for a well-established M&E organisation, who are seeking an experienced Mechanical Estimator to join their team. This is an ideal opportunity for someone who comes from a mechanical background within Estimating/Quantity Surveying or even Contracts/Project Management. The role will include: * Reviewing project plans, specifications and related documentation in order to understand scope of work and mechanical requirements * Analyse engineering drawings, blueprints and other technical documentation in order to provide an accurate estimate * Proposing an accurate and competitive estimate and budget which will include mechanical systems, labour, materials, equipment, permits and any other costs * Performing take-offs and quantity surveys of mechanical systems, including HVAC, plumbing, piping and fire protection systems * Identify potential risks and challenges and proposing effective solutions * Evaluating bids and proposals from subcontractors and suppliers Who we are looking for: * Proven experience working within the mechanical and electrical industry * In depth knowledge of mechanical systems including HVACM, plumbing, piping and fire protection * Proficient in reading and interpreting engineering drawings and specifications * Strong mathematical and analytical skills * Strong negotiation skills to ensure competitive pricing * Knowledge of building codes, regulations and industry best practices Please note you will need to commute to Epsom on a daily basis.
