About the role of casual gardener/grounds person...
This is a physically active role where no two days are the same. Working as part of our dedicated grounds team youll help maintain the racecourse grounds and outdoor spaces to a high standard throughout the year ensuring everything looks its best for race days and role involves working outdoors in all weather conditions and includes a variety of gardening and grounds maintenance tasks. Youll work closely with the wider team attend regular grounds meetings and play an important part in the smooth running and presentation of the racecourse.
As racing and events often take place outside normal working hours youll be expected to work some evenings weekends and Bank you enjoy practical outdoor work take pride in creating well-maintained outdoor spaces and are happy working as part of a team as well as using your own initiative wed love to hear from you.

What is casual work Casual work is a great solution as it enables you to work flexibly around other commitments in your life. Once you have registered your interest we will contact you in advance to offer you department based shifts at racedays or hospitality functions. There are usually a range of shifts available and opportunities for work are based on busy seasons and the annual racing calendar. Positions will be allocated on the day as part of the briefing.
