Job description
Position: Site Manager Location: Croydon Contract: Full-Time, Permanent Start Date: Immediate Start Available Site Manager Role in an Outstanding Secondary School An Outstanding Secondary School in Croydon is seeking to appoint an experienced and proactive Site Manager to oversee the day-to-day operation of its busy and well-maintained school campus. About the Role The successful candidate will take responsibility for the effective management of the school site, ensuring that all buildings, grounds, and facilities are maintained to the highest standards. Working closely with the School Business Manager and Senior Leadership Team, you will oversee maintenance operations, contractor management, compliance checks, site security, health and safety procedures, and planned improvement projects. This is a hands-on role requiring strong organisational skills, practical knowledge, and the ability to manage competing priorities while ensuring the school remains a safe, welcoming, and efficient environment. Key Responsibilities Manage the daily operation and maintenance of the school site Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations Oversee contractors, repairs, and planned maintenance programmes Manage site security, access control, and emergency procedures Complete regular inspections and maintain compliance records Support facilities planning, procurement, and budget management Coordinate site improvements and refurbishment projects Ensure the school environment remains safe and welcoming The School Environment This Outstanding Secondary School in Croydon provides an ambitious and inclusive environment where students are encouraged to achieve their full potential.
