Job description

Make your next move one that counts.

Tired of the same routine? Want a job where you can make a real difference every single day? Whether you're starting out, changing careers - we've got full-time roles waiting for you in Bishopbriggs.

Our teams and the people we support

You will join a dedicated team of Support Practitioners providing support to 4 individuals who have learning disabilities and other complex support needs, including physical disabilities. The people we support have many interests such as enjoying new experiences, living life to the full, going on holiday, cooking, socialising and meeting new friends.

They will give anything a go including going to concerts, singing along to Abba, and going out for meals - no two days are ever the same.

About you

No experience? No problem! We'll train you, pay you and support you every step of the way. You'll even gain funded, recognised qualifications as you work.

We want people who are: -

  • Kind, positive and up for a challenge
  • Great team players
  • Willing to learn and try new things
  • Ready to make a difference
  • Confident using computers and tablets

Why you'll love it here

  • You'll have a meaningful job doing things that you enjoy - it often doesn't feel like work
  • No uniform - we wear our own casual clothes
  • We fund up to £500 towards driving lessons
  • We reimburse your SSSC registration and PVG fees
  • Access to professional development and career progression opportunities
  • Recommend a colleague bonus scheme
  • Long service awards
  • Access to a 24/7 independent employee assistance helpline
  • 26 days annual leave (rising by 5 days after 5 years) plus 4 paid bank holidays
  • Family friendly leave options, including family, parental, bereavement and special leave
  • Access to lots of discounts, including the cinema, gym memberships, holidays and shopping

Shift Patterns

Our fabulous team provides tailored 2:1 support twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week. Shifts are formed by early shifts, back shifts, sleepovers, waking nights, weekends and public holidays on a rotational basis. Shifts typically start at 8am with back shifts finishing at 10pm. Waking nights usually being from 10pm - 8am and sleepovers which are typically 10am-10pm.

Our sleepovers are not included in your contracted hours, so you’ll receive an additional sleepover payment of between £107.60 per night for each sleepover worked!

Don't wait - apply today and start a career that changes lives (including yours).

Successful candidates will be required to join the Protection of Vulnerable Groups Scheme and be committed to working towards an SVQ in Social Services and Healthcare with the support from our Training Academy.

If you’re successful in joining our team, we will need you to register with the SSSC within 3 months of starting your employment with us.

Please note - If you have spent more than 12 months out with the UK (excluding France, Germany. Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Lithuania, Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Romania or Spain) within the last 10 years while over the age of 18, you will be asked to provide a criminal record certificate from the relevant government/police authority as part of our pre-employment checks.
