Registered Manager - Children's Residential Home

Spalding, Lincolnshire | Full-Time | Permanent

Salary: Up to £ 60,000.00 + bonus

Lead a Brand-New Children's Home and Make a Lasting Difference

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced and passionate Registered Manager to lead a newly established, high-specification children's residential home in Spalding, Lincolnshire

This is far more than a management position—it's an opportunity to build a service from the ground up, shape an outstanding culture, and positively transform the life of a young person with complex emotional and behavioural needs.

If you're an inspirational leader with a passion for delivering exceptional outcomes for children and young people, we'd love to hear from you.

The Opportunity

As the Registered Manager, you will have full operational responsibility for the home, ensuring the highest standards of care, safeguarding, compliance, and staff development.

You'll create a warm, safe and therapeutic environment where children can feel secure, valued and empowered to achieve positive outcomes.

Working alongside a committed and supportive organisation, you'll play a key role in establishing a home recognised for excellence in children's residential care.

Key Responsibilities

As Registered Manager you will:

  • Provide effective leadership and day-to-day management of the residential home
  • Recruit, develop, supervise and inspire a high-performing residential care team
  • Create a safe, stable and nurturing home environment centred around the needs of the young person
  • Embed trauma-informed and child-centred practice throughout the service
  • Implement Positive Behaviour Support (PBS), PACE and therapeutic approaches where appropriate
  • Oversee care planning, risk assessments, safeguarding and regulatory compliance
  • Ensure the home consistently meets and exceeds Ofsted standards and Children's Homes Regulations
  • Build positive relationships with local authorities, education providers, health professionals and families
  • Manage complex behaviours with confidence, professionalism and compassion
  • Drive continuous improvement, quality assurance and outstanding care outcomes
  • Support the young person with daily routines, appointments, education and meaningful activities when required
  • Prepare for inspections and maintain excellent standards of governance and documentation

About You

We're looking for someone who can combine strong leadership with genuine compassion.

You'll have:

  • Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (or equivalent)
  • At least 2 years' experience in a senior leadership role within a children's residential home
  • Previous experience supporting children and young people with complex emotional and behavioural needs
  • Excellent understanding of trauma-informed care and therapeutic practice
  • Strong knowledge of safeguarding legislation, Children's Homes Regulations and Ofsted requirements
  • Outstanding leadership, communication and organisational skills
  • A resilient, reflective and solution-focused approach
  • Full UK driving licence

Why Join Us?

This is an opportunity to join a progressive organisation that genuinely invests in its people.

We offer:

  • Opportunity to lead a brand-new, purpose-built children's residential home
  • Autonomy to shape the culture, standards and success of the service
  • Supportive senior leadership team
  • Ongoing professional development and specialist training
  • Genuine opportunities for career progression within a growing organisation
  • The chance to make a life-changing difference to a young person's future

This position is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 and therefore all shortlisted candidates must disclose any convictions or cautions that are not protected under current filtering legislation.

We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people. All appointments are subject to satisfactory safer recruitment checks which includes an Enhanced DBS Check.
