Job description
Functional Assessor Salary: £40,000 - £50,000 Location: Weymouth Additional pay & bonuses: * Guaranteed £2,000 salary uplift within your first year (subject to approval milestones and contract) * One-off approval bonus of 5% of salary * Up to 10% annual performance bonus based on quality and performance Working pattern: Full-time, Monday to Friday, 9am-5pm. Part-time hours available. Make a real difference in healthcare - without the shift work About the role As a Functional Assessor, youll use your clinical expertise in a new and rewarding way, carrying out functional assessments that support individuals applying for health-related benefits. This role allows you to apply your clinical judgement while enjoying regular working hours, no night shifts, and no weekend work. Youll be part of a supportive, multidisciplinary team delivering high-quality, evidence-based assessments. Based at one of our UK centres, youll benefit from a structured working environment, comprehensive training, and clear career development pathways. What youll do * Conduct functional assessments and produce clear, accurate, high-quality reports * Use clinical judgement to assess a wide range of physical and mental health conditions * Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals * Maintain accurate records in line with clinical governance and quality standards * Engage in ongoing training, CPD, and clinical supervision * Deliver assessments with empathy, professionalism, and integrity What youll need To apply, you must: * Be a registered healthcare professional (Nurse, Physiotherapist, Occupational Therapist, Paramedic, or Pharmacist) * Have at least 12 months post-registration experience within the last 5 years * Have no current restrictions to practice * Demonstrate strong communication, assessment, and report-writing skills Your benefits We believe in rewarding your contribution and supporting your wellbeing: * Competitive salary with £1,000 uplift after 6 months (PIP only) and £1,000 after 12 months, subject to approval * One-off 5% approval bonus * Up to 10% annual bonus based on performance and quality * 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays (option to buy additional days) * 4 CPD days per year, plus 1:1 clinical coaching and development support * Annual professional registration fees paid * Flexible working patterns and life-friendly hours * Access to the Wisdom Wellbeing App, counselling, and mental health support * Pension scheme with up to 6% employer contribution * Discounts on cinema, travel, mobile contracts, and more Why SJB Medical?
