Our client, a well-established electronics manufacturing services provider, is looking for an SMT Machine Operator to join their team on a permanent basis in Berkshire. This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing manufacturing business operating from a modern facility, supporting the production of high-quality electronic assemblies for customers across a diverse range of industries. Key responsibilities of the SMT Machine Operator job in Berkshire: * Load and prepare feeders for SMT production requirements. * Carry out PCB setup and handling for production line processes. * Set up and operate solder paste printing equipment, including stencil loading, programme creation, production processing, and stencil cleaning. * Set up, programme, and operate SMT placement machines. * Create and maintain machine programmes in line with production requirements. * Process production runs efficiently while maintaining quality standards. * Strip machines following production and return components to kits in the correct order. * Operate reflow ovens to process assembled PCBs. * Follow work instructions, build documentation, and quality procedures accurately. * Support continuous improvement initiatives and maintain a safe working environment. Experience required for the SMT Machine Operator job in Berkshire. Experience in a similar SMT manufacturing role. * Good knowledge of PCB-level SMT component assembly. * Basic understanding of PCB technologies. * Strong knowledge of SMT assembly processes and manufacturing techniques. * Experience reading and following work/build instructions. * Knowledge of IPC-A-610 (Acceptability of Electronic Assemblies) would be advantageous. * Understanding of Moisture Sensitivity Levels(MSL). * Good IT skills, including experience using machine control and programming software. * Ability to communicate clearly and effectively within a manufacturing environment. * Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality. * Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
